Santa Feans are calling for leadership that listens, collaborates, and gets things done. The endorsements below highlight Justin’s proven ability to solve problems, build trust, and lead with integrity. They were submitted as Letters to the Editor in the Santa Fe New Mexican.

“Santa Fe deserves a leader who is both unafraid and capable of pursuing bold, achievable plans to address our most pressing problems.”

If you plan to vote in the upcoming Santa Fe mayoral election, do yourself a favor and look closely at the candidates websites — particularly their action plans for the city. If you do, you will see that the one who rises above the political platitudes and proposes the specific solutions that will actually solve the most important problems facing Santa Fe is Justin Greene.

This is best illustrated by three of Greene’s proposals:

  • The Strategic Housing Plan;

  • The “One Door” homeless campus;

  • Rewriting the General Plan and Land Use Code.

The Strategic Housing Plan prioritizes affordable housing for first responders, educators and health care workers in Santa Fe. Only by doing this do you create the virtuous cycles of a healthy community ecosystem being able to attract and retain the critical workers that keep us safe, educate our children and keep us healthy.

The “One Door” Homeless Campus is modeled after San Antonio, Texas,’ successful program; this plan provides not only safe shelter, but also the critical addiction treatment, mental health, job training, and case management services necessary to actually address the root causes of the issue. This will reduce the crisis on our streets and allow police to focus more resources on actual crime.

Rewriting the General Plan and Land Use Code: Santa Fe’s Land Use Code is badly out of date. As a trained architect who worked in the Santa Fe Land Use Department on the redevelopment of the Railyard, Greene is uniquely qualified to lead the proposed rewrite of the General Plan and Land Use Code. Additionally, his proposal implementing proven technology to dramatically speed up the permitting process forms a comprehensive solution, unlocking the ability to more rapidly build the affordable housing units for the wider community needed to address the affordability and homelessness crises facing Santa Fe.

In addition to putting forward these impressive ideas, Greene has demonstrated the management ability to actually get them done. As an MBA and architect, his 30-plus years in Santa Fe of building a business and working in civic enrichment and government have produced an impressive list of accomplishments. Among these are working on the revitalization of the Railyard, supporting the farmers market, co-founding Warehouse 21 and co-authoring the planning documents for the Santa Fe Community Convention Center.

Santa Fe deserves a leader who is both unafraid and capable of pursuing bold, achievable plans to address our most pressing problems. These are just a few examples of why I believe Justin Greene has distinguished himself above an impressive group of mayoral candidates. He deserves your vote, but even if you are committed to another candidate, he deserves to be ranked highly on your ballot.

The one who will actually get things done

“If elected mayor, Justin Greene will ensure Santa Fe’s skating community always has a place to skate.”

I recently spoke with mayoral candidate Justin Greene, who reassured me clearly that he is committed either to fixing the current ice rink at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center or securing a new one if it cannot be repaired. He explained the problems with the mechanical system, which is under strain because the rink is located next to the swimming pool. I told him how important it is for the ice skating community to remain part of the Chavez Center, and he understood. I had heard rumors he was not supportive of the rink, but my conversation made it clear those rumors are unfounded.

If elected mayor, Greene will ensure Santa Fe’s skating community always has a place to skate. As a member of this community, I was glad to hear his commitment, and I am grateful for his support of skating in Santa Fe’s future.

“Justin is innovative, hardworking, and deeply committed to public service.”

I proudly support Justin Greene for Mayor of Santa Fe. Justin is innovative, hardworking, and deeply committed to public service. I’m a nurse at Christus and a Navy veteran, and I know he truly cares about our community, something I’ve seen firsthand through the many thoughtful conversations we’ve shared over the years.

Justin supports our first responders and medical workforce through his Strategic Housing Initiative, which creates affordable rental and homeownership opportunities for early-career professionals. This practical approach will strengthen healthcare, public safety, and education across Santa Fe.

As a County Commissioner, I’ve watched Justin deliver results, from helping redevelop a senior center in Santa Cruz to protecting affordable housing and supporting local small businesses. He also takes time to support local recreation, including our growing pickleball community and expanding our trail system.

Justin Greene gets things done, and leads with heart. I encourage you to rank him #1.

Justin is innovative

“I am proud to support Justin Greene for Mayor of Santa Fe. For over 30 years as a fellow Santa Fean, Justin has dedicated his life to our community through small business, public service, and local partnerships”

I am proud to support Justin Greene for Mayor of Santa Fe. For over 30 years as a fellow Santa Fean, Justin has dedicated his life to our community through small business, public service, and local partnerships. As my County Commissioner for District 1, he has proven he can get things done, by helping secure a Post Office for Chimayo, reopening the Tesuque Convenience Center, and protecting affordable housing in Española for dozens of families.

As a small business owner, Justin and his wife built a truly local company that supports locally owned Santa Fe restaurants. Their business pays above the city’s living wage with benefits and treats every employee as family. As one of our City’s small business owners, his company has helped to donate more than 50,000 meals to The Food Depot, supporting families across Northern New Mexico.

Justin Greene is our fellow neighbor who cares, and a leader who listens. Please join me in supporting him for Mayor of Santa Fe. Rank Justin Greene #1!

30 Years and Going

“Justin has the ability, knowledge and connections to meet challenges head on and deliver real solutions for Santa Fe.”

I’ve lived in Santa Fe for 34 years. I love it here. There have been opportunities to leave. No way. This is home. And while there is so much I love about our city, our city government does not make the list. Getting straight to the point, just looking at the Guadalupe Street construction project and the void in the middle of our beautiful Plaza, are stark examples of extreme failure on the part municipal leaders.

It’s for this reason that I enthusiastically support Justin Greene for mayor.

I’ve known Justin personally and professionally for well over a decade. I’ve come to know him as a responsible and successful business owner, but also, even prior to his work on the County Commission, a true public servant. Justin understands how to work within the existing system as well as to look outside for solutions to what doesn’t work. He has the ability, knowledge and professional connections to move the levers of government to meet challenges head on, solicit the best community partners for ideas and advice and then to pull the trigger. To fix what isn’t working.

On Election Day, let’s all vote for action, solutions, and progress. Let’s vote to get things done. Vote for Justin Greene.

Get Things Done

“Justin listens, he plans, and he follows through. He’s approachable, genuine, and easy to talk to about the issues that matter.”

Justin Greene is a forward-thinking leader with real solutions for the challenges Santa Fe faces. Change is coming whether we like it or not, and Justin meets it head-on with a builder’s mindset and ideas that actually work in the real world. He knows how to balance progress with the character of this city, and he brings people together instead of dividing them.

I live on the south side and recently talked with Justin about his “Southside Investment Plan.” It’s the kind of fair, forward-looking thinking Santa Fe needs to make sure opportunity reaches every neighborhood. I’ve worked in film and television for over 20 years, and I’ve seen how much leadership matters when a city starts to grow fast. Justin listens, he plans, and he follows through. He’s approachable, genuine, and easy to talk to about the issues that matter.

That’s the kind of leadership Santa Fe needs right now. I hope you’ll rank Justin Greene No. 1 on your ballot.

Real solutions

“Justin leads with integrity, foresight and genuine care for people. That is the kind of leadership our city needs now.”

I am proud to support Justin Greene for mayor. I had the opportunity to work for Justin at his small business, Dashing Delivery, during the height of COVID-19 and witnessed his exceptional leadership firsthand. Amid uncertainty, he kept our team safe, adapted swiftly to evolving conditions and ensured we had the structure and support to operate effectively. Beyond his business, he showed a deep commitment to the community by helping local restaurants stay afloat and ensuring first responders received essential services.

Justin leads with integrity, foresight and genuine care for people. That is the kind of leadership our city needs now. I have already voted early and ranked Justin Greene No. 1, and I encourage you to do the same.

For Justin Greene

“He doesn’t just talk about solutions — he delivers them. Santa Fe deserves leadership that listens and acts.”

As a third-generation Santa Fean, I’ve seen Santa Fe go through many versions of itself. Some good, some not so good. Today, our city has become a place for people who’ve already made their fortunes. It must once again be a place for people like me and so many others who want to raise families, build businesses and create meaningful lives here.

To do that, we the people — not the chosen few who make decisions for the rest of us working folks — must elect a mayor who shares our values and work ethic. I believe that person is Justin Greene. Greene is a man of action, integrity and deep commitment to this city. He understands the struggles of small business owners because he is one. He doesn’t just talk about solutions — he delivers them. Santa Fe deserves leadership that listens and acts. Let’s elect Justin Greene.

For Justin Greene

“Greene has a positive attitude and is full of energy and new ideas, mostly coming from the people he always listens to.”

I have known Justin Greene for many years and support him for mayor of Santa Fe. As a Santa Fe County commissioner, he helped guide our District One folks and others toward a higher standard of life. Greene has a positive attitude and full of energy and new ideas, mostly coming from individuals he always listens to. Living here for about 30 years, I feel satisfied and will vote for Justin Greene.

For Justin Greene

“Justin Greene understands that seniors deserve more than services — we deserve dignity, connection and opportunities to live fully.”

My big concern is the well-being of our seniors. Justin Greene cares about our elders and understands that we deserve more than basic services; we deserve dignity, connection and opportunities to live fully. His vision for a senior center on the south side is not simply about a building but creating a welcoming place where wellness, socialization and nutrition come together. He also recognizes housing is critical to improving our lives.

Justin is committed to expanding at-home services so medicine, food and other daily necessities are always within reach. He will enhance health care and wellness programs at senior centers and improve opportunities for us to stay engaged through events, cultural outings and celebrations, from city-county dances to the Balloon Fiesta. I ask you to vote for Justin and our senior community.

For Justin Greene

“This is the Justin Greene many don’t yet know — someone who shows up where it matters, quietly and consistently.”

I support Justin Greene for mayor of Santa Fe because his heart is in the right place, and his actions prove it. Greene doesn’t just talk about community; he lives it every day. He’s spent years mentoring immigrant families and their children, helping them reach college dreams, opening doors to new possibilities and celebrating their successes as if they were his own. He stands up against injustice and promises to protect civil rights, a commitment deeply personal to our family.

Through Dashing Delivery, he and his wife, Sandra, partnered with The Food Depot, helping provide more than 50,000 meals for families in need. He’s supported at-risk kids through the Buckaroo Ball, championing nonprofits and invested in healing, hope and compassion for both people and animals. This is the Greene many people don’t yet know, someone who shows up where it matters, quietly and consistently. That’s why I believe in him and why Santa Fe needs him as mayor.
